Indian Academy proudly presents the first online issue of the official Journal-Annals of Indian Academy of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery (HNS). The Indian Academy of Otorhinolaryngology and HNS started few years back with several like-minded members of the ENT HNS community to address and cater to the academics and the commitments to the ENT HNS fraternity and also the community. The academy strives to spread knowledge and information about the ENT HNS and the subspecialties. Several subspecialty groups have associated with the Academy in knowledge sharing. The Academy conducts an annual conference every year, and the conferences were held at Chennai, Chandigarh, and Kolkota, and Pune is hosting this year conference. The academy also is in the forefront in formulating the guidelines and formed several small committees which are at present working on them. As part of the academic contribution the Annals is launched, and this is the first issue we present to you.

We have thought about the name of the journal which should reflect the true character of the intentions and after a lot of deliberations decided on “Annals.” We also sincerely thank M/S Wolters Kluwer, publishers who are associated with the Annals and this relationship should take us forward.

The annals need the support from all the authors. The journal will consider articles, case reports, surgical techniques, and other clinical and basic research material about the ENT HNS all the subspecialties.

We look forward to a long journey with the Annals to serve the ENT HNS fraternity.
